Curaçao

Ontspannen op reis naar Curaçao – ook als prikkels en veranderingen een uitdaging zijn.

We are regularly in contact with people who would like to travel to the ABC islands.

For many people, traveling is an adventure, but for travelers with autism or sensitivity to stimuli, the prospect of a long journey – such as to beautiful Curaçao – can be overwhelming. The long flight, an unfamiliar environment and a change in routine can cause tension or uncertainty. However, there is good news: more is possible than you think. The Flying with Autism Foundation is there especially to help you make this dream trip come true.

In March, Kees Hoekstra and Inge Meeuwes-Muis traveled to Curaçao themselves. Their goal? To experience the trip and the stay with their own eyes and to make valuable contacts to make the trip more accessible, safer and more pleasant for people with autism.

During this exploratory visit, we visited the Curaçao Dolphin Therapy & Research Center, the Dolphin Suites accommodation and the Huntu pa e yu foundation. Each location offers specialized support, facilities and amenities.

We would like to share our findings and experiences that can help you prepare well for this journey. From tips for the flight to reliable places to stay and guidance on the island - so that you (or your child, partner or client) can travel to this special destination with more confidence and peace of mind.
